When I started compiling the notes from our adoption journey writing a short form ebook about it wasn’t necessarily at the top of my list, what was on my list was to try to consolidate the process in more ways than one. Grants, paperwork, training all replicated over and over there had to be a way to do more. AND I am not saying there isn’t, but for now this will be the route. So…. I am so excited to share my latest project with the world.
‘Embracing Forever’ is a field guide of sorts about our journey through domestic adoption. Things we learned, consolidated resources, everything from terminology and finances to advice from other adoptive parents. My prayer is that this is an easy to read and digest resource for families praying through adoption or friends supporting families in the process.
These thoughts are almost a year old and in now what I hope is a really helpful handbook. I do not go through international adoption since that isn’t my area of experience, but a lot of these principles still apply.
The past few years have not been easy AND I know God is doing His work in His time. There is a lot of trust and faith walking this road, but loving one more life that might not get love otherwise is well worth the murky unknowns.
So, I hope you follow along. I hope you feel free to start a dialogue with me or someone else that you might know wondering about this journey.
